Why Ballroom Dancing
Latin or ballroom dance lessons in Florida at Silva Dance in Daytona Beach. Here you will find everything you need.
We teach International and American styles at any level starting from dance beginners who never took a dance lesson and have no experience (two left feet OK) to advanced competitive dancers who are looking for coaching lessons on the highest level of the Ballroom Dancing. We continually train professionals for further advancement of their degrees in all forms of dance.
It doesn’t matter if you have a partner or not, and what your goal is and how much time you can commit to your dance training.
We are here seven days a week for semi group dance lessons and private dance lessons for ballroom dance lessons and salsa classes in Daytona Beach as well as weekly socials/practice sessions. Our 1,500 sqft dance floor is large enough to practice competitive dance routines and enjoy parties without being crowded.
Why Ballroom dancing – We can help with all of these.
- Just Starting Out – I’m looking for something new to do. I have never taken dance lessons but I always wanted to and now I would like to try. I don’t have a partner and I don’t know how to dance. I can’t recognize which dance they are doing by the music thats playing. Generally I have two left feet and my dance partners tell me that I can’t lead or follow.
- Wedding’s and Special Events – I have a wedding (or another special occasion) coming up and would like to learn some dance basics to enjoy the party.
I would like to learn a dance routine for my first dance with my fiancee using our song. The band or D.J. gave me a list of music to pick out. I would like to know which are the best choices and be able to dance to their music. Seeing us dance on our wedding video or in our wedding pictures will give us enjoyment forever. - I Can, but I need More – I would like to develop a specific dance that I like. I saw it in a club/on TV/ or at a competition. I’m am only interested in learning: Swing, Tango, Salsa, Hustle, Foxtrot, Merengue, Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba, Quickstep, Samba, Paso Doble, Jive, Viennesse Waltz, West Coast Swing, and more about leading and following, posture control and timing.
- Club Dancing – The new music keeps changing and I don’t know what they are doing in the clubs. I need to learn the current dances or styles of dance so that I can go to these clubs and feel comfortable with my friends and others. I could use Merengue, Salsa, Hustle, Swing, Slow Dance, Free Style, among others that are current so I can go out and enjoy myself.
- Socials – I’m looking for a place to dance socially just for fun. There aren’t many restaurants or other places I can dance at. Sometimes, even if I go out to dance the other people are not so good or they don’t have the patience to help me. I would like to make new friends and spend time in a nice, friendly atmosphere, where I can practice my dancing and enjoy myself.
- DanceSport – I’ve seen the ballroom dancing on T.V. It looks a lot more than just regular dancing. I would like to try it and I need to find a place to teach me. My studio must be able teach me up to that level. After I get comfortable I would like to compete as I’ve seen on T.V. I would like to go to Ballroom Dance events with my studio so that I can take part in the competitions. This will open up a whole new and exciting part that I can explore and enjoy. I know a little Ballroom and Latin dancing but I’m ready for more so let’s go.
- Private Lessons – I’ve taken Ballroom and Latin before, but I would like to develop my dance ability. I have been taking class after class but I don’t seem to be able to get what I want. I need one-on-one training where the teacher will tell me what I need. I want to see more improvement and faster development. I need poise, style and grace. And I want to learn as quickly as I can. Let me know what programs are available in private instruction.
